Up here
at the top of the world
I get letters
from kids, mostly
I read about
their wants and needs
some are cautious
some are careful
They don't want
to put more hope in me
than they would in
anyone else
But this is my job
so I read each one
and I check my list
The line between
naughty and nice
can be very thin
I try and grade
on a curve
if there's a chance
No one should
have to go
without
No one should
be without
hope
If I can
I will make
it happen

Ponies
Playstations
Peace
No matter how many
letters I read
I wish there
were more asking
for that last one
