The people, with the torch, are innocents. They are not Chinese and most are not of the celebrity of Willie Mays. I concur with the thought about where was the outcry when China was originally selected. Having been squarely in the vortex that is the Olympics, I can tell you it isn't perfect nor is it not corporate. But it is, despite the main-feed coverage, a lingering source of some purity in the exhibition of the human spirit. The flame should be what it was meant to be - a beacon and a light in the darkness that has become our world. Free Tibet, but burn the flame.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
